Real work for real clients. Here's what happens when strategy, creative, and execution show up in the same room.
Samsung approached us early for additional support on creative concepts for their U.S. Hispanic Mother's Day and Holiday initiatives. Over several months we worked alongside multiple agencies and Samsung stakeholders, with our bilingual team reviewing every idea to make sure it was culturally accurate, not just translated, and that it clearly communicated the holidays were better with Samsung. In 2021, U.S. Latino economic output reached $3.2 trillion and Hispanic adults were among the most mobile-first consumers in the country, so the work had to earn its place in a market that size without falling back on stereotypes.
"I went back to my calendar to remind myself of when we briefed y'all… oh it was just two days ago. And in that time you created such EPIC scripts! AMAZING work. I look forward to us partnering together more!"
Lyft needed to win the Gulf Coast against Uber, so we sent a mobile video truck to wherever the crowds gathered: Pride Houston, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Comic Palooza, the Nutcracker Market, and a summer concert series across five cities. One roving asset, six very different audiences, and 8x app downloads over the previous year's Pride event.
"We absolutely love working with 5+8! The team always brings new and fresh ideas to the table and worked at lightning speed!"
For National Burger Day we ran a buy-one-get-one offer across nine locations, and promoted it with nominal paid media investment. The 2026 event was the most successful promotional day in Becks Prime history, and every metric grew sharply over prior years.
"This was our best National Burger Day ever. The team understood exactly how to make it feel like a real event, not just another promotion."
A year-end grant gave SERJobs 45 days to recruit 1,000 people for job training, during COVID, in communities where much of the audience didn't have smartphones. We went analog: cups, napkins, and posters in neighborhood restaurants and cafés, with people on the ground handing them out and talking through the opportunity. The text-to-sign-up line (Text JOB to 69922) became the bridge. We signed up 1,100 people, exceeded the target, and the campaign is still running today.
"With this request, we weren't sure it was at all possible, but we were happy to be wrong because their speed and creative ingenuity not only met our goal, we exceeded it."
In spring 2020, when restaurants and bars shut down, Southern Star lost one of its biggest revenue channels overnight. They could not sell kegs or cans to their usual food and beverage partners, and they needed a new revenue stream now. We launched The Inactive Jogger, sweatpants made for the new, more sedentary you. Sold through their online store and promoted through email and social, the campaign ran on a $0 budget. In less than a month it became the best-selling product in the brewery's history, with every sale going directly to the local business that needed it. The work also won Best in Show for copywriting.
"I feel that 5+8 has taken the time to deeply understand both our business and our culture and seems to seamlessly integrate both of those things into the work they provide for us. I can't find enough great things to say about my experiences working with 5+8."
